Srimad Bhagavatam, which is the scripture we study, says that Kṛṣṇa did not want us to come to this material world. The question is, if Kṛṣṇa did not want us to be here, why are we? PRABHUPADA: Yes. You force Kṛṣṇa to allow you to come. Just as sometimes a child strengthens the father. The father says: My dear son, do not do this. Do not go there. But he insists: Oh, I want, I want. "Well, see under your responsibility." That's all. And you suffer. What can be done? Like God, because you are a son of God, God has independence, full independence, all-powerful. Therefore, you have acquired the quality of your father. You have a little independence.
