What is the difference between Vaikuntha consciousness and material consciousness? Prabhupada: Vaikuntha consciousness implies that if your neighbor or your brother is prosperous or is progressing, you should think: "Oh, it's so pleasant that he has served God so well. God is so pleased with him that he is making a great progress." That's Vaikuntha consciousness. Instead, material consciousness is one that says: "Oh, he's advanced so much. Let me control it."
