The Holy Letter Question: Is the body of a pure spiritual devotee the body of a pure spiritual devotee? Prabhupada: The body of a pure devotee is completely spiritual and is not different from his body. That is also a reality. The bodies of all living beings, even those who are not pure devotees, are actually not the bodies of the spiritual soul. They are always separated from the spiritual body. The Vedic mantra confirms it by sound vibration that this spiritual soul is always disassociated from the material body. Therefore, we do not see the true spiritual body of a pure devotee; what we see is matter. One example is that of the bright moon covered by a cloud.
