In the śāstras it is said that this era of Kali is full of defects, so many defects. It is an ocean of defects. But there is something very good, asti hy eko mahān guṇaḥ, a very great quality. What is that? Kīrtanād eva kṛṣṇasya mukta-saṅgaḥ paraṁ vrajet. If you just sing the Hare Krishna mantra, then you become perfect. Is it very difficult? Sing the Hare Krishna mantra and you become perfect. But we are so unlucky that we are not even ready to sing. This is our situation. So you have to make a little determination and say: "From now on, I will sing the Hare Krishna mantra."Then everything will be fine. (Srila Prabhupada, conference, October 11, 1975)
