Spiritual Wisdom vs Materialism The burdensome materialists who ignore their relationship with God are described in the Bhagavad-gītā as mūḍhas. Mūḍha means “ass,” “ass.” Those who are working very, very hard to earn money are compared to the ass. They will eat the same four capātīs [whole wheat toasts] daily, but are working unnecessarily to earn thousands of dollars. Reference Vedabase - A.C. Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada†
