"One can stay in the Aśrama that is suitable for him; it is not essential that he takes sannyāsa. If one is sexually agitated, he can enter the gṛhastha-āśrama. But he must continue to fight. For those who are not in a transcendental position, taking sannyāsa artificially is not a great merit. If the sannyāsa is not suitable, one can enter the gṛhastha-āśrama and fight against māyā with great strength. But there is no need to abandon the fight and leave. (Srila Prabhupada Purport SB 8.2.30)
