Modern university education practically prepares one to acquire a dog mentality with which to accept the service of a great master. After finishing that supposed education, supposedly educated people move like dogs door-to-door asking for some service, and most are rejected, informed that there are no vacancies. Since dogs are insignificant animals and serve the master faithfully for pieces of bread, a man faithfully serves a master without sufficient rewards. (Prabhupada's Comment SB 2.3.19)
