The Sannyasi dressed with the Mask: When the Singing Becomes an Excuse Here we have it: Mahavishnu Swami, a sannyasi, wearing funny hats, dinosaur masks and dancing in ridiculous ways, believing that singing justifies everything. The shastra response is unambiguous. The Hari-bhakti-vilasa prescribes strict code of conduct for the sannyasis themselves: gravity, simplicity and exemplary behavior. A sannyasi serves as a spiritual guide to society; circus behavior creates jokes towards the whole institution.
