Chindanti means cutting. Now, to cut something we need some sharp instrument. But here, to cut the mind of attachment, sharp ukti is required. Ukti means words. sharp themes. There should be no... Just as when a person cuts something, there is no mercy, similarly when a sādhu or a holy person speaks to his student, does not show any mercy.
