What is devotional service? Devotional service is the eternal life of the living entity, which lies latent in the heart of everyone, and is different from karma-yoga, jñāna-yoga or dhyāna-yoga. It is carried out with purified senses under the direction of a faithful spiritual master, employing all parts of the body in the service of the Lord. This service is always based on the love of God and can be regulatory or affectionate. It is a powerful process that can stop the reactions of sinful life and receive allows blessings from the Supreme Personality of God. Devotional service exists eternally and even continues after liberation.
