There was a time, in the 60s and 70s, in which devotees like Vishnujana Maharaj were present at ISKCON. He accepted Śrīla Prabhupāda's sannyāsa and was famous for his deeply melodious and moving kīrtans. Before accepting sannyāsa, he was married. Subsequently, his wife insisted on speaking with him. One or two times by phone and a couple of times in person. Because of this, Vishnujana Maharaj felt an immense guilt, considering him a severe sannyāsa-aparādha. Broken by that inner load, he apparently ended his life jumping to the Gaṅgā river.
