Why does Garuda Dasa insist so much on pushing his edition, at the same time saying that he is against the changes? If he wants to make his own edition, clearly labelled, what is the problem? Why so strive? Because he wants his edition to be the main, as it is now Jayadvaita’s. One or two years ago we started an exchange of emails with him; in my second message I respectfully asked him if he wanted his edition to replace Jayadvaita’s as the main book on ISKCON. He did not respond and cut off the communication. Since then, we have carefully observed his intentions. The world doesn’t need his explanation; does he want to put himself in the role of an ācārya, commenting on the book of Śrīla Prabhupāda accepted by ISKCON?
