The people of the Hindu community in the Western world have a very good feeling to me, as they superficially see that I am spreading the Hindu religion, but in fact this Krishna Consciousness Movement is neither Hindu religion nor any other religion. It is the function of the soul. Although the Indian Hindus are very inclined to my favor, in my experience it is very difficult to turn them into pure devotees. The difficulty has become more acute due to the Ramakrishna Mission preaching that any opinion about religion is fine. But our philosophy is different, we do not accept any opinion that is not advised by Krishna. So unless one is very lucky, no matter whether he is Hindu or not, he can not join the Krishna Consciousness Movement and accept its legitimate principles. (Prabhupada a Jaythapataka 17
