The supposedly purely motivated "Gurus" devotional point disfruits do not inform that we are performing devotional service mixed with modalities, because they want to give the impression that if you follow your orders you are already in pure devotional service and the other that would self-inculpate, their facade of falsehood could be glimpse. They take advantage of the fact that the public is looking for easy and give it. But in Song 3, Chapter 29 of Srimad Bhagavatam the Lord Kapila describes to His Mother Devahuti the symptoms of the bhakti in each way: Bhakti in ignorance (tamas) - SB 3.29.8: "The devotional service performed by an envious, proud, violent and choleric material person, and who is separatist, is in the darkness mode."
