Desinteresed Service, No Profession The service to Kṛṣṇa should not be taken, nor accepted as a profession for subsistence. It should be simply for the service of the Lord. For the service of the Lord you can collect millions of dollars, but for your subsistence you can not take a dollar from anyone. Then you will owe yourself. You must pay it. You can not deceive others. It is strictly prescribed. You can simply take for the satisfaction of Kṛṣṇa, you can beg others. (Prabhupada Conference, Bhagavad-gītā As Is 3.6-10, Los Angeles, 23 December 1968).
