👁️ Who was Sañjaya? Sañjaya was a disciple of Vyāsa (the compiler of the Vedas). Dhṛtarāṣṭra, the blind king father of the Kauravas, could not see the battle, so Vyāsa granted Sañjaya a mystical gift to see everything that happened on the Kurukṣetra battlefield at a distance. Sañjaya is the narrator of the Bhagavad-gita — he tells Dhṛtarāṣṭra in real time all that Krishna and Arjuna speak, including the universal form. It is basically a mystical "live broadcast" for a blind king who wanted to know what happened in the war. At the end of the Gita, Sañjaya concludes with his own words of amazement, declaring that wherever Krishna and Arjuna are, there will be victory
