Influence Peddling
Dear devotees and friends:
We are writing to you with the purpose of filing a complaint regarding a series of irregularities related to the ownership and use of the Santa Clara property, Nueva Vrajamandala in Guadalajara, Spain, a good part of which is under the domain contract by a period of 100 years, in the possession of the Carmona family.
Attached to this post, you will find three photographs that show the current situation of the property and the adjacent plots, as well as a detailed explanation of them.
It is extremely important to highlight that, despite having a domain contract for a century, the process of making said documentation public has not been carried out. This leads to a lack of transparency regarding ownership and rights over the property.
The non-public contract, which appears a hundred years in the future of ownership in Santa Clara, for the Carmona family, specifically assigns the private home to Chaitya (Aritz) in polygon 44, plot 2; a dairy farm converted into a private home for Sriji and his mother in industrial estate 20, plot 158; and the house used as a warehouse in polygon 44, plot 1 and 2. In addition, a total area of 85 hectares has been occupied with domain rights for the same period.
It is alarming to discover that the trustee of the land, who has to protect the property and has the authority to revoke these types of contracts, is Chaitya's father-in-law. We have in our possession the proof that Christian Jansen (B. Gauravani Swami), the father-in-law of Chaitya (Aritz), is the trustee of the properties, and that Aritz is the president of the Association.
And, all this, with the approval of the president of the farm, Yadunandana Swami.
What is the reason that the authorities are very restrictive in terms of rights for everyone else? And, not being from ISKCON, and being initiated in another math, that does not strictly accept Srila Prabhupada and that they themselves say they have differential philosophical questions. What is their qualification to occupy these lands? Are we facing a clear case of influence peddling?
It is important to mention that these actions are strictly prohibited by the principles established by Srila Prabhupada and the GBC (Governing Body Commission). The Santa Clara estate should not be given to the Carmonas, as if it were a legacy from kings to princes. Those of us who are denouncing this situation do so with full right, since we were present on the farm and it was
acquired with our efforts, for non-profit purposes, for community use and spiritual activities.
We demand a thorough investigation into this matter and due correction of these irregularities. It is imperative that ethical and legal principles are respected in the management of properties of this nature.
We are waiting for a prompt response and action in this regard.
