🔍🧒 Child Abuse in Nova Gokula: Breaking the Silence 🛡️📢This is the account of the child abuse case perpetrated by Ramadhanuh dasa in Nova Gokula, from the beginning to the current situation. We are sharing this information on our platform to denounce these serious acts because support has been given to a pedophile like Ramadhanuh. These are not rumors; there is evidence, numerous contacted witnesses, and documents. The case began when a 5-year-old girl was abused for 4-5 years by Ramadhanuh, a guru school teacher who was considered very helpful and humble. He never wanted to marry, did not seek leadership, and always appeared reliable, but we later discovered that this is a typical strategy of abusers: to gain everyone's trust to access children. The girl first told her stepmother, but the abuser threatened to kill her if she said anything. Later, between the stepmother and the father, they managed to get her to talk, and then the father went to the temple to report it. When he went, the leaders immediately expelled him without investigating; they just moved him elsewhere. This indicates they already knew something was occurring. Officially, his whereabouts were unknown.Ramadhanuh's "punishment" was to go to India. It so happened that the family also went to India, and they were surprised to encounter him in Vrindavan. There, an American devotee, a government member and expert in child abuse cases, interrogated him, and he ended up confessing everything, both in front of witnesses and in writing. The GBC banned him from entering any temple worldwide unless the victim's family accepted it.However, he didn’t return to Brazil. He spent ten years in India, befriended another leader (Purusotraya Swami), whom he supported financially by selling products and facilitating business with Brazilian devotees. Purusotraya Swami, who then had no disciples or money, was one of the biggest beneficiaries of this support. Some senior devotees aware of the case warned the Swami, but he argued that, as a sannyasi, he had to be merciful and that it had been a past episode.Ramadhanuh was not prosecuted in Brazil because, at that time (the 80s-90s), the law was very lax; child abuse barely had legal consequences. Today it would be a serious crime, but not then.Later, an attempt was made to have him pay compensation, as stipulated in the CPO document. He was obliged to, but he only handed over bounced checks and also requested that the victim sign a letter declaring his innocence as a condition to give the money. He didn't even pay the compensation. He also obtained a psychiatric certificate from a known associate stating he was "cured" to deceive the CPO (Child Protection Office).Despite the ban, he lived for several years as a pujari on Soho Street in the UK, lying in his signed statement that he had no issues with children.Years later, he tried to return to live in Brazilian communities (Nova Gokula, Goura Vrindavan...), bought properties, set up businesses, and his wife became a community president. He continued entering and living there despite the ban. Many devotees opposed; most didn't know the truth or didn't want to believe it, and the GBC kept the case secret for years. When a local committee and a few responsible individuals managed to obtain and disseminate the official documents of the case, then yes, the entire community expelled Ramadhanuh permanently. Before, the information only circulated as rumors, and he benefited from the silence, "friendship" (remember these predators ingratiate themselves with flattery, service, and money), or the ignorance of the majority. The pattern is always the same: when these abusers are discovered, they are sent far away instead of facing the problem. They always try to keep it secret, protect their friend, or minimize the damage to the group's reputation.Currently, although according to the GBC he cannot stay overnight in any center, he still manages to visit, sometimes for several days, the Goura Vrindavana estate. His protector, Purusotraya Swami, has even stopped visiting the Nova Gokula community, declaring formally that if they don't let his friend in, he won't go either, in solidarity with him, arguing that his "duty" as a spiritual leader is to offer guidance and mercy, but never punishment.Solidarity and mercy that he forgets to show to the victim. This is simply a lack of basic principles and humanity that immediately disqualifies him as a decent person, let alone as a sannyasi and spiritual authority. What is clear from this story is that nowadays, only the publication and dissemination of the facts make it possible for the community to act to protect others and prevent the cycle of silence and protection for offenders from continuing. When information is public and clear, there is no way to defend the indefensible.original article in Spanish:https://www.facebook.com/vaisnavasdeespana/posts/pfbid032Ke71UWNrmzN5mF8z54K9GYdh6q3VdJttsvxUUeLAz1cAr4PVZ9JMqG6ttMk1BoTl
